Attention: Windows XP Users
You may need to adjust your Internet Explorer settings in order to login for the first time.

Norton Firewall users, ivclient (The Live Training Room) needs to be allowed access to the Internet in order to work.

When you attempt to login for the first time to the Veretekk Live Training area and are using Windows XP you may see the following warning appear:

This is caused by Windows security feature that prevents malicious activeX applications from installing themselves on your computer. In order to loging for the first time you must temporarily disable this feature to install the activeX component. Don't worry, It's easy... we'll step you through it below. At the end everything will work perfectly and your computer will be completely secure.

Start by clicking on the "Tools" button in your Internet Explorer menu. Select "Internet Options..." Then click on the "Security" tab in that window as indicated below:

Click on the "Custom Level" button at the bottom.

Now you should see a window like the one below. Make sure the first setting for "Automatic prompting of ActiveX controls" is set to "Enable" then click "OK".

Now close out completely of both windows and go back to the page in your Veretraining system where you click the button to enter the Live Conference system. When you click the button to enter you should see the following prompt:

Click the "Install" button. You should then be taken into the Live Conference area.

At this point you should go back to your "Internet Options..." settings in the IE "Tools" menu and change the setting for "Automatic prompting of ActiveX controls" to "Disable" (which is the way it was before). From now on you should be able to login without having to change any of your security settings. See you for the next training!
